ANNUAL BONSPIEL – Friday March 24 to Sunday March 26, 2023
The Bonspiel starts Friday March 24th, with Two draws: 5:30 pm, 9:00 pm;
Saturday - March 25th, with Four draws: 9:30 am, 12:00 noon, 3:00 pm, 5:30 pm;
Sunday - March 26th, Three draws: 9:00 am, 11:30 am, FINALS 3:00 pm
The Hot Shots elimination round is following your first game (on Friday night), on the same sheet.
BANQUET and PRESENTATION OF PRIZES – 5:30 PM SUNDAY
Additional meals (over the 4 per team provided) are for League members only and are available for $40 each; see the Draw Master to reserve early.
TO ALL PRIZE WINNERS; TEAM MEMBERS MUST BE PRESENT TO PICK THEIR PRIZE. Team mates may pick up a prize for missing members after selections are complete.
In the interest of friendly competition, the following rules shall apply during the bonspiel. Please follow them.
To speed up play without having to rush, be ready to shoot before you are required to; also, it is not necessary to pull out the next shooter’s rock.
With the exception of the following, the C.C. Rules of Curling For General Play - SEP 2022 to AUG 2026 shall be in effect.
Regulation games shall be eight ends in length. A game that is tied following regulation play during the round robin shall remain a tie and be so recorded; during the Sunday playoffs a tied game shall have a winner declared by a full extra end played towards the glass. If the extra end is blanked, a winner shall be declared by a single stone shoot-out with skips and delivering team sweeping permitted. If the shoot-out is blanked, a winner shall be declared by shoot-out, with no skips nor sweeping permitted, until a winner can be declared.
Penalties for a late start are as follows;

- From two to ten minutes late – offending team loses one point, one end, the hammer and choice of rock colour.
- Ten to twenty minutes late – offending team loses two points, two ends, hammer and choice of rock colour.
- After twenty minutes – the game is defaulted.
No three-man rink may play in the semi-final or final games and only regular team members or Substitutes are eligible to play; should a spare be required (s)he is to be appointed/approved by the League Executive. Spares and Substitutes may only deliver second or lead stones.
Vice Skips only are to be in the house for rock measurements. Deliberate delay or ‘stalling’ shall not be allowed and the offending team shall default the game.
In all cases of dispute the decision of the referee shall be final. The bonspiel referee will be the Draw Master or designate.
Tables will be numbered to correspond to the ice on which you have just played. Please vacate the numbered tables before the next group of curlers finishes their game.
